Automating Repetitive HR Work With the Tools You Already Have

For the routine work that eats the week: Excel, reports, trackers and the admin around them. Using the tools your company already has, so nothing new to buy.

I built this course after HR people told me where their week goes: the same Excel files, reports and trackers, rebuilt by hand every time. In the session you work on your own tasks, with the tools your company already has, so there is nothing new to buy.

Eric Yap, Trainer, Technicity Sdn Bhd

Who it is for

  • HR staff and HR executives
  • Anyone in HR who spends the week on Excel, reports and trackers

A half-day course for HR staff and HR executives on the repetitive work they already do: mapping it, getting reliable drafts and summaries, and automating Excel and the workflows around it, with the tools their employer already licenses, such as Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Power BI or Google Workspace. No vendor is taught as a product, and no programming background is needed. Each participant works on their own tasks and leaves with an automation plan for three of them, one drafted and ready to try.

What the morning covers

9:00am to 1:15pm, with a 15-minute break. By the end, participants will be able to:

  1. List the repetitive tasks in their own HR work and choose the ones worth automating.
  2. Write structured instructions for drafting and summarising HR documents, check the output, and say what employee data must not be entered.
  3. Describe how to automate an Excel task or workflow, and the source-data upkeep that lets a report update without manual work.
  4. Write an automation plan for three of their own tasks, with one drafted and ready to try.
01

04
